Blog #8

After reading “life’s stories” by Julie beck, I had to really think about the article. I think this is the first article that I understand. Even though I understand it I still read it a second time. Because I know I probably had missed something that was important and I did so I was happy that I reread it. The first part that caught my eye from the article was when she said: “In telling the story of how you became who you are, and of who you’re on your way to becoming, the story itself becomes a part of who you are.” For me this makes me think about how every minute counts in life and you will never get that minute back. That minute just a second ago is now part of my story. This blog post is now apart of my story “Any creation of a narrative is a bit of a lie.” I would say most people tell stories but it’s weird that when people tell stories some parts are lies and its just out minds making it up and imagining it happened. The last thing that caught my eye was “Stories don’t have to be really simple, like fairy tales. They can be complicated.” I agree with it so much. Life is not a walk in the park. It’s hard, stressful and so many more things. Nothing will ever be a fairy tale. I’ve heard people say they want their life to be like a fairy tale but I would not want mine to be one. Bumps in life are good it makes you stronger and grow. Life can’t always go as planned because then life would be boring.
