I decided to reread “I am not a story” by Galen Strawson. I decided to reread this one because even reading it three times I felt like I needed to read it a fourth time. The third time helped me a little but I still was confused. I think it would take me about six reads to truly understand the whole article but like in everything you do more than once you notice more things there were some words that I did not know the meaning of and I actually took time to look them up and doing that it made me understand the reading better. I also fully realized why he thinks that narratives are “false” He says this because you can’t always trust your memory. I agree with this. In my psychology class, we talked about how sometimes humans memory’s are what they think their memory should be or how they want it to be. I also noticed most times reading this that he likes to make fun of the other authors and I thought that was interesting we have not read things like this in class and I liked it even though I do think it is weird
